Samantha interned at HHFG while enrolled at Ithaca College, as a component of her business minor. With aspirations of opening her own physical therapy practice after graduating with her Doctorate, she felt a business minor would set her up for success should she venture in this direction after graduation. What she did not anticipate upon starting her internship with HHFG was how much she would love being involved in the financial services industry.
Samantha completed her Doctorate degree and was hired as a pediatric physical therapist. Not long thereafter, an opportunity opened to join the HHFG team—which she pursued without hesitation. It was her intent to join the HHFG team in a limited capacity and also practice as a therapist. She pivoted to a life immersed in the financial planning world, and Samantha discovered her empathetic-nature and love of helping others could also be fulfilled in this industry, not just in healthcare.
As time progressed and Samantha’s skills expanded, her role grew from operational associate through to current role as the Chief Operating Officer.

Samantha resides with her husband, Colton, and their two young daughters. In her spare time, she loves taking long walks outdoors and reading books. She has a to-be-read pile that will likely take a lifetime to get through but wishes there were more days in a week so she could read all of the beautifully written books in the world. She likes non-fiction best—especially memoirs—but is known to enjoy Elin Hilderbrand’s summer beach reads too.
Her favorite time of day is early morning—often waking hours before her family to exercise and organize herself for the day ahead. She thinks there is something magical about watching the world wake up in the morning, as the sun begins to bathe the earth in light.
She loves spending time with her family during camping season. They have a lengthy list of places they’d like to visit but have grown especially fond of the Adirondack Park the last few years. They hope to see more of the National Parks together in the next few years—especially Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Mount Rushmore.
